The Solutions team at Asana is a dynamic group of Solutions Engineers, Business Value Consultants, and Solutions Architects dedicated to delivering strategic and technical expertise in sales pursuits to provide value-driven AI agent workflow solutions that combine Human and AI Collaboration to its customers. 

As Sr. Manager, Solutions Engineering - Verticals, North America, you will lead a team of Solutions Engineers supporting key industries: Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services, State & Local Governments, Non-Profit and Higher Education. You will inspire and guide your team to help our largest customers and prospects understand the value of Asana’s collaborative work management platform that specializes in Human & AI agent workflows and ensuring alignment with the compliance needs of these regulated industries. This hands-on leadership role requires strategic thinking, operational excellence, and exceptional communication skills. You will report into the Solutions AMER Region and collaborate to shape the vision for the Verticals Solutions Engineering team. 

This role is fully remote within the U.S. or based in our San Francisco office with a hybrid schedule (in-office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).

What You’ll Achieve:

  • Build and retain a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers through recruitment, coaching, and professional development, fostering expertise in AI agent workflows.
  • Leverage your industry knowledge to provide hands-on strategy, technical coaching, and demo excellence, driving success for enterprise accounts in Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services, State & Local Governments, Non-Profit and Higher Education.
  • Enhance Solutions Engineering efficiency by developing processes and analytical tracking to monitor team goals and performance metrics.
  • Partner with the AMER Solutions Leadership to shape the vision for a growing Solutions Engineering team and contribute to the enterprise playbook for sales, solutions and product strategy.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, Security, Marketing, and Customer Success to align AI agent workflows with industry compliance requirements.
  • Partner with Business Value Consultants, Solution Architects and 3rd parties to drive successful opportunity engagements 
  • Influence Asana’s revenue goals by driving impactful solutions for vertical customers.

About You:

  • 3+ years of demonstrated success as a manager of a Solutions/Sales Engineering team at a B2B SaaS company, preferably with experience managing industry-specific teams 
  • Having spent time as a Solutions Engineer in Healthcare & Life Sciences, Financial Services, State & Local Governments, or Higher Education for a minimum of 5 years prior to taking on management roles.
  • Deep understanding of AI agent workflows and their application to compliance needs in regulated industries.
  • Exceptional communicator with proven operational excellence and the ability to create new processes and analytical frameworks to track team goals.
  • Experience scaling teams during high-growth periods, with a track record of attracting, hiring, growing, and retaining top Solutions Engineering talent.
  • Skilled in navigating complex enterprise deals with multiple stakeholders, coaching on deal strategy, and addressing technical challenges.
  • Results-oriented, data-driven leader with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing business opportunities in a high-growth environment.
  • Ability to travel periodically to meet customers as needed.

To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $199,500 - $250,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
