SAN FRANCISCO, July 25, 2019 – Asana, a leading work management platform for teams, today announced the appointment of Eleanor Lacey as its Head of Legal and General Counsel.

“Eleanor’s proven track record of building scalable, business-focused teams is a tremendous asset for Asana,” said Dustin Moskovitz, CEO of Asana. “Eleanor’s deep passion for our mission and pioneering vision for the future of work, coupled with her extensive global legal experience, is an excellent addition to our leadership team.”

Lacey will oversee Asana’s legal department including all areas of privacy, compliance, IP, and commercial. Prior to joining Asana, Lacey served as Chief Legal Officer for global cyber security software company Sophos. Before her time at Sophos, Lacey led the legal teams for a number of leading B2B and B2C companies including SurveyMonkey, Corel Corporation and Niku Corporation.

Lacey received her JD from Yale Law School and her BA in English and History from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

“As work becomes increasingly more global and distributed, the need for effortless collaboration has never been greater,” said Lacey. “I’ve seen firsthand the power of Asana as not only a leading work management platform, but a true catalyst for teams to unlock their full collaboration potential. I’m excited to bring my experience of building teams and navigating emerging industries to Asana as we redefine how companies scale and transform in the digital age.”
